What is this project?

The Project “Public Art and Art Education” aims to create an interdisciplinary team of professionals (teachers, artists, researchers, educators and cultural agents) interested in issues of public art as an educational resource in both formal and informal educational contexts, in Portugal and Grece.
We intend to share existing research and practices through work meetings with experts in the area, to create strategies for learning through public art, focusing on environmental education. And, finally, to disseminate examples of educational practice using public art through workshops for schools in both countries.

Objectives of the project:
To promote intercultural and collaborative work
To share knowledge and practice
To promote the use of works of public art in education as educational relevant practices in both countries

Languages accepted in this network:
In this network you can write in Portuguese, in Greek and English. All this languages are accepted in posts, blogs, videos, documents, etc. Feel free to add any documentation you want.

Visita à Grécia

Entre os dias 29 de Janeiro e 2 de Fevereiro visitei a Grécia no âmbito do projecto Public Art and Art Education, que trouxe um investigador grego a Portugal e levou um investigador Português à Grécia. Tive a oportunidade de estar em Atenas e em Esparta, seguindo a seguinte agenda:


Dia 29. Chegada a à Grécia e primeira visita ao Colégio Heleno-Americano de Atenas.


Dia 30. Viagem de carro para Esparta. Participação num workshop sobre arte pública com jovens na Koumantarios Galery

Las Intervenciones Urbanas

Las Intervenciones Urbanas, no son eventos aislados sino un proyecto que perdura en el tiempo. Es un largo proceso, se parte de una línea temática, que se va ajustando con los aportes del grupo y modificando cuando comienzan a intervenir los técnicos en música, danza, palabra, todos ellos, coordinados por un director que les va dando unidad al proyecto.
